The Delegation To The Governor's Advisory Council on Hispanic Affairs
The Campus Alliance de La Raza
....
.
Chairwoman: Christina Graciano, graciano@udel.edu

The Governor’s Advisory Council on Hispanic Affairs (GACHA) is a group of powerful Latino figures in the state of Delaware who advise the Governor on issues facing the Latino community. The group is made up of lobbyists, politicians, CEOs, Educators, Executive Directors, attorneys, doctors and other professionals & the best part is: they love seeing young Latino making moves & have a close relationship with our organization!!

La Raza has worked closely with GACHA in the past, co-sponsoring Get Out The Vote Initiatives, supporting & promoting The Hispanic Student Recognition Program (a joint venture between GACHA and The Latin American Community Center), and conducting research for Council on The State of the Delaware Latino with respect to public education.

The Chair of La Raza's GACHA Delegation from June of 2004 to January 2006 was Craig de Mariana Aleman, craigaleman@hotmail.com.  From January 2006 to June of 2009, the Chair of La Raza's GACHA Delegation is Christina Graciano, graciano@udel.edu.  Feel free to contact her if you are interested in joining the Delegation.

GACHA typically meets on the third Thursday of each month in Sussex, New Castle, or Kent County.  This is a GREAT opportunity to network with Latino professionals. They are ALWAYS looking for ways to help us out socially and intellectually. Opportunities for internships, jobs and networking are ALWAYS present.

For meeting locations, send an email request to La Raza's Chairperson at graciano@udel.edu, or to Ms. Wanda Lopez, The Executive Director of the Council at wandalopezwml@comcast.net.
